I don’t know where to start. Just the best restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Couldn’t recommend this place more. The food quality was unmatched, the drinks were so refreshing and the service was brilliant! We had missed the live string performance but they played 2 melodies just for us! They also let us try their Chinese costumes and take some pics with the gu Zheng. It really was a full cultural experience and we can’t wait to come back! Thank you to the whole Opera House staff for making this such a memorable day!

A friend and I went to Opera House restaurant, Chinatown Philadelphia today, and we had the best authentic Chinese food ever! Each dish, prepared with care, has its own unique flavor and texture. We ordered 4 dishes: Peking Zhajiang Noodles, Lapi Noodles Salad, Braised Pork Balls in Brown Sauce and Crispy Fish Fillet. They are all absolutely delicious! Wait staff was very attentive and friendly! What a wonderful time we had! I would highly recommend this restaurant!

We enjoyed all the dishes we tried. For appetizers I loved the shrimp and pork dumpling with chili oil. We also had the chicken wings and shrimp roll. For our mains - loved the sweet and sour pork and the special beef noodle F7. Our son enjoyed F5. Great service too! Great value

I recently visited Opera House Chinese Restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious...full of authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. Every dish we ordered was fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The service was also excellent. The staff Erlin were very friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, making it a great place for both family meals and casual dining. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for quality Chinese cuisine in Philadelphia. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

What a wonderful place for authentic Northeastern Chinese food! The Guo Bao Rou is perfectly crispy with a delicious sweet and tangy sauce. The chicken wings are golden and super crunchy. The Liang Pi cold dish is beautifully presented and very refreshing, and the pickled cabbage with vermicelli tastes just like the traditional Northeastern flavors I remember. There are so many great dishes on the menu that it’s hard to choose just a few. Everything tastes authentic and full of flavor. What really makes this restaurant special is the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The owner is very kind, the staff are friendly, and you can tell the chefs take pride in their cooking. If you’re looking for authentic Northeastern Chinese cuisine and a place that feels warm and full of heart, Opera House (Jing Guan) is definitely worth a visit.
